After working with women prisoners on Riker’s Island, Rev. Connie Baugh started her ministry in Harlem helping newly released women navigate life on the outside.
She knew it would be tough for these women to find people to hire them and rent to them.
What she didn’t know was how tough it would be for them to find a church that would accept them.
So she created one that did.
Walk With Me is about The Church of Gethsemane in Brooklyn, NY where prisoners, ex-prisoners and people who have never been in prison, worship, celebrate and govern their church together.
